Your doctor can prescribe you something safe for the nausea. Do not self medicate, because most meds, like Dramamine, or dangerous to the baby.

I hate to tell you there isn't much that will help you with morning sickness. Your best bet is to contact a doctor first. I find it ridiculous that they even name it morning sickness, I was never sick in the morning with my son, but it was any time after morning. Alot of women are different, some have no sickness, others have so much that they are in bed for the first three months....seriously, it happened to my Aunt. The Doctor of course told her that it was a period that she would have to just get through, it your body's way of adjusting. So speak to your Doctor or even you campus nurse, they may be able to tell you a method that won't harm the baby. Good luck sweety, look at it this way, with my first son, I had no morning sickness and gained 60 pounds. :( With my second, I had horrible morning sickness and weighed less than I did before I was pregnant after I had him. :) So look on the bright side, if you can, in the end it could be a blessing. lol Don't worry sweety you'll get through this, in the mean while eat crackers and drink sprite. Lots of luck.

Do not take tylonal or anything else that is not prescibed by your dr. When you get up in the morning don't jump right out of bed. Keep a snack like crackers and water by your bedside. Or have someone make you breakfast in bed. If you start to feel a little sick just take it easy. Eat crackers or bread slowly. It will soon go away.
Congrats!

This may sound a little strange, but I chewed a lot of ginger and drank ginger tea and amazingly it helped. I also had morning sickness all day and something that is really important during this time (at least for me) is to eat several small meals. Don't fill your stomache up too much or you're asking for trouble. Nothing too greasy either, it'll just upset your stomache. Also if you're feeling a lot of reflux, TUMS will be your best friend. Good luck!

I had all day sickness too. It was so bad that I couldn't even drive because I would get motion sickness. After a couple of times of pulling over and getting sick, I stopped driving for awhile. Honestly, there isn't much you can do except "ride it out". Maybe you will have to put night school on the back burner for the rest of the semester?

You shouldnt take anything without talking to your doctor first, but mine lasted all day also and my doctor gave me a very cheap drug that started with an "m". I could get a 30 day supply for $15. But doctor also told me to suck on bannana popsicles and eat plain potato chips to help ease the sickness. They also make a sucker that is supposed to help, preggo pops, I believe and they are supposed to work great also, I have seen them at the Motherhood clothing stores and online. Also if you are taking your prenatals try to take them when you lay down to go to sleep. A lot of times, those make you even more sick, so that probably isnt helping your case. Good Luck to you and Congrats!!

My friend was sick for the whole nine months of her pregnancy. The Doctor gave her a pill that would help her keep her food down, because she was sick all day long like you.

It really didn't help her too much... just a little. you can take Tylenol but it has to be the regular kind.... NO EXTRA STRENGTH. But it wont help you being sick. it might even make you sick. So I would stay away from that.

I hope that helps a little

Sorry to hear it. Don't worry, you'll feel better at the end of your first trimester.

Best thing for morning sickness is to keep a little something in your stomach at all times, and to stay hydrated. Nibble saltines when you first wake up and sip water or peppermint or ginger tea. Fresh foods, like raw fruits and vegetables, tend to be easiest on you at this time. You'll have to experiment and find out what foods work best for you, for meals and snacks. And snack often, your stomach will be most tender when empty.

All part of the process...welcome to the club, lol. "Morning sickness" is a bit of a misnomer. It doesn't only occur in the morning, lol. Eat small, frequent snacks/meals. Try gingerale. A flat cola may help as well (back in the day, cola syrup was used to treat tummy aches and nausea. Also, try SeaBands. They're for motion sickness. YOu wear them on your wrists. Get them at a drugstore. They work great. Best of luck.

Who ever named it morning sickness must have been a man because well a better name is all day sickness, it will and can happen all day if your one of the people who actually gets morning sickness. you should maybe go to a walk in clinic or make a doctors appointment because there isn't much you can do for "morning sickness" and your doctor might have better knowledge of what to do.

i also suffered from all day sickness and you can buy emetrol over the counter at a pharmacy this is safe to take and was recommended to me by the doctor. this helped for a little while but then the sickness got worse and began to lose weight so the doctor put me on zofran (i think that is what it is called) and this worked wonders. you can also try simple things like saltine crackers and 7up, lots of ppl say ginger ale and peppermint helped them. good luck!
