Today at school, one of my best friends got shot in the eye with a pellet Gun by a very horrid girl who shall remain unamed. She says she's ok, and she hasn't gone blind or anything, but what is a pellet gun? I looked on the internet but can't find any info. Please let me know I'm really worried! =[

It is a it says a small metal pellet that is fired out of a gun usually by a CO2 canister or pressurized air or by a pump action mechanism. Your friend is lucky I hope she is suing this girl for what she did if not her the parents of this child. I would say she is lucky it was not a real gun or you would be attending her funeral.

It is an air powered gun. The pellet is like a small barrel shaped thing - rounded on one end - and concave on the other. The rounded end comes out first and the shape of the other end uses the air to the best advantage. The damage caused is a function of the distance and amount of air pressure applied. It is a legal weapon and the police should be notified. For sure the school must be informed.

A pellet gun is like a BB gun and boy do they hurt, they can cause some serious damage. If your friend got shot in the eye, she should go and have it checked out. It may not hurt now and may feel ok, but she has some long term damage to worry about....

used to kill rats or small animals... pelets usually cannot go though layers of clothing but anythign above the colar can kill on throat, neak arteries, temples and an eye hit should blind or kill,

either way the pain would be off the scale and no more eye, and close range may have penetrated to the brain.

The horrid girl needs the police called on her straight away... entering school with a weapon like that gets you expelled... certainly aiming at anyone even if not loaded so she thinks...
Firing that is GBH grevious biodily harm or attempted murder.
A kid died earlier this year.
She goes to aim it at you . You have to stop her...

A BB Gun. Fires Pellets at a low velocity. Still enough to injure someone though.
Incidentally, It is illegal to carry a BB gun in public, as it may cause fear and alarm.
My friend had one confiscated from him one day by a police officer and he was told he was lucky not to be arrested.

a pellet gun is what people use to kill rodents and vermin, birds and the like, some people use one for target shooting and the pellet is made out of lead...it's small in size and can be potentially dangerous, your friend needs to report this girl to the headmaster/mistress because it's classed as an offencive weapon nd can be harmful....in fact she should not be carrying it around with her at school....she sounds like a nasty piece of work...report her, don't worry about being classed as a snitch, this girl is a cowardly bully and needs to be taught a lesson....go to the police if need be....also tell her parents.... (your friends i mean) this has to stop....

A `pellet gun` is an AIRGUN, a rifle, and it shoots lead pellets of .177 or .22 calibre.
If she was actually shot in the eye it could have blinded her.
In extreme circumstances it could have passed right through her eye into her brain and killed her.
You should inform the police without further delay.

it is a gun that fires small round plastic pellets.
they are often considered as a toy and given to children to play with. while they are unlikely to break skin. they can cause damage if hit in a delicate area such as the eye.
children should not be allowed to use these things as toys.

A pellet gun in like a normal gun but it have little coloured balls in side and they can corse injurese.
i hope you told the teacher.
No children should carrie them around with them.
If you are seen by the police you can have them taken of you.

A gun that fires little lead pellets. Sometimes used at fairgrounds, and there are low lives who shoot small birds with it. Highly dangerous in the wrong hands but rarely if ever fatal.
