It sounds like U gotta pinched nerve. Does it hurt 1 place more than others? Heat helps. Either heating pads or rub in deep heat along with massaging it should help release the nerve if that's what it is. I saw someone say something about stress. If that's it I know that would effect more than Ur arm.
Best wishes

You are having muscle spasms. Try massaging your arm when it starts twitching and possibly stretching the muscle if possible. (grab a hold of the top of a door and let your body weight stretch it) disclaimer: don't do this if you have any nerve damage in your arm or shoulder problems!!! You may be sleeping in a awkward position at night which can cause the spasms as well. Try bear hugging a pillow at night. Ice may also help with the twitching. You want to ice for 10-15 minutes but no more and make sure something is between you and the ice so to not get frostbite. Ice 2-3 times a day.

Did this just start? There are a couple of possibilities:
1. you are on a medication that causes this condition.
2. you slept on your arm/or positioned your neck in such a manner that you are now experiencing muscle spasms. This can also be caused post car accident where you may have injured your neck even 2 months ago and only now are having symptoms.
3. did you fall or pull something from a high shelf which didn't hurt at the time, but you are now having the symptoms from this injury.
Since you state it is driving you crazy, I assume this has been ongoing and I would suggest that you see your family doctor-also bring all meds you are on including vitamins and supplements....and try to remember any abnormal thing that might have happened especially to your neck in the past month or so or longer if you are having the symptoms longer.
Good luck to you.

it depends. if it's just random muscle twitches these can come and go from stress, lack of sleep, improper nutrition, overuse etc. just take good care of yourself ad they'll go away. nothing to worry about. many people get these in their eyelid muscles for instance when they are tired and long distance joggers often little twiches in their legs or glutes.
however, if it's not just random muscle twitches and you believe there is a deeper cuase you should see your doctor.

It is impossible to be completely accurate, you haven't been very specific, upper or lower arm or both, but this sounds like a nerve problem.
Do you have any neck, wrist or elbow pain? Usually this will settle down given time. If it doesn't, you have the choice of seeing your doctor which will be a waste of time or a chiropractor or osteopath.

It means you need to see your doctor, who may refer you to a neurologist.
Don't fool around with something like this. Is is likely to be nerve-related. I had "essential tremors" several years ago and my neurologist gave me a prescription and the tremors went away. I stopped the medicine after two months and the tremors have not returned (it's been about six years since I had this problem).
Good luck, and let us know how this comes out.
Regards,
Scott

It sounds like a muscle tic... sometimes those happen from stress. But I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure. :)
