Identical twins are one fertilized egg that splits. So, they have the same DNA. Male identical twins will be exact replicas. Female identical twins can differ slightly. This is a result of receiving two x chromosomes, one from the mother and one from the father. During embryo development, one of the xs in each cell becomes inactive. Then as the baby develops, the cells replicate. One female twin can favor the X from the mother, while the other could favor the X from the father. They will still look identical, but there may be slight differences.

Yes, indentical twins have the same DNA. There are tiny changes (such as birth marks, finger prints, etc.) that may be different between these two people, and voices may vary, too. They are most likely to only be recognized by people either very close to them, or that see them every day. This is intresting, though: identical twins MUST BE of the same gender. Unidentical twins may be of different genders, but identical twins cannot.

There are two kinds of identical twins, identical by superposition and identical as mirror-images (e.g. physicist Gregory Benford at UC/Irvine and brother Jim Benford). Either way, they start out with identical DNA content - but subject to environmental and developmental peturbations thereafter.
Female identical twins have identical DNA encoding but do NOT have identical DNA expression. One X chromsome in each cell is suppressed. It's random. Twins have similar but non-identical fingerprints.

They have the exact same DNA, and they'll have everything else the same unless they were maybe hurt, or example they have the exact same teeth unless one doesn't brush their teeth and needs to get fillings or they have the same bones unless one breaks their arm. It is fully exactly the same. But it is only with identical twins.

I am no biologist but based on "law and order" episode where one identical twin commits a murder but they cannot convict based on DNA. Yes they do.

If the twins are derived from same fertilised egg.I mean to say during clevage two blatomeres get seprated and develop into two different indiduals then their DNA will be same.
