I think that any of them would do. I mean you know that Johan Santana is going to do good. I mean the past three years, he has won over 15 games and had an ERA under 3.00, BUT so far this year, he has not gotten much run support. This guy has also struck out over 235 people the past three years also. Cole Hamels is also another great pitcher. This guy is another pitcher who can strike out many people. In only 23 games last year, Hamels struck out 145 batters. Cole Hamels is also a young pitcher, he still isn't at the top of his game yet. I believe that this guy is a pitcher who will continue to get better every year. Jake Peavy another great young pitcher can also strike out many batters. With a career ERA of 3.39 Jake Peavy is a tough pitcher to get a hit off of. In 2005, Jake Peavy threw 203 innings and only allowed only 162 hits. So far in the year, Peavy has only allowed 42 hits in 60.1 innings, and struck out 71 batters. If I were you, I would trade Albert Pujols for Jake Peavy. I can't make the choice for you, but these are some stats that you can think about. (Please pick me as a best answer, I worked really hard on this!)

This is no flipping contest. Its Johan Santana. Jake Peavy is incosistent, even though he's on a hot streak and the same for Cole Hamels. Hamels is a big injury risk. Even though he started all the games last year, he was bitten by the injury bug a lot in the minors. Its Johan all the way. They should just engrave his name in the CY young now.

I would take Peavy b/c even though Santana is the best pitcher in the game i think Peavy will win more this year. San Diego is just a better team than the Twins

NO, big mistake....unless you play in a league where pitching stats make a larger impact on scoring.

You don't trade Pujols for a pitcher or you will regret it when he gets hot and jacks 5 homeruns per week.

Santana hands down. You must really need pitching to give up Pujols

you need to get more than 1 pitcher cuz he is starting to heat up so if u get a pitcher u need to get a position player to. pitchers go 1 or 2 times a week and u would be losing a stud from your everyday lineup
