do you consider it a crime?

Okay...let me clear this up. I am not doing anything illegal. And I don't mean crimes that hurt others or animals. That's just plain horrible.

fdj1...I hate child molesters and killers. I wish a tree would fall on them...and nobody was there to hear them cry. I also wish you guys would quit assuming I am doing something illegal. Thank you.

There are plenty of people who 'circumvent' the laws every day for many reasons. They are breaking the spirit of the law but are smart enough or are rich enough to get away with it. Usually it is the poor people who get caught trying the same stuff who end up in court or in jail. What I am getting at is that we never really know where pushing against might lead. Better to act in a positive direction and that never includes hurting others and as you say animals also. Cheers!
This can backfire on the elite criminals, and when it does the whole castle can come down like Humpty Dumpty, but 99% of the time they get away with it forever.

It's not considered a "crime" until you are arrested for whatever it is. Crime is a legal term, to describe the act of doing something against the law. My best advice would be to abide by the law whenever possible to avoid "getting caught".

How does that song go, oh yes: DON'T DO THE CRIME IF YOU CAN'T DO THE TIME!

If you do something that is morally, ethically, or socially unacceptable and you can get away with it - is it really worth the struggle that will go on inside your head between wrong and right ? You will always know what you did, and will always have to live with it.

In sociology it is the difference between the discreditable and the discredited. We have all done something 'illegal' i.e. speeding, driving w/out a seatbelt etc., so we are all discreditable. When we get caught we become discredited. Of course the amount of deviation from the norms of society define our deviance.

A crime is a crime. If you have a conscious even if you get away with it ,you don't really .You will always know you did wrong .

As my mom used to say, (pseudo-)facetiously, "It's only illegal if you get caught."

But i MAY choose to hold on to guilt-feelings if i think the act was "wrong" which is NOT the same as "illegal"...
