Hi, I have an essay due in two weeks s[o i still have time to think about it.] but i just wanted to see what you people would come up with.
So ! i have to write a PROCESS essay: i have to teach something to the class. [like how to make cinnamon rolls(thats the teacher's exemple..) or how to draw something...etc..] so yah i'm gonna be reading my paper to the class and one person is going to follow the instructions i give them by reading my essay and they have to make the thing im explaining to them in less than 8 minutes.. yeah i don't have that much time... So my question is, What could i teach that is easy and takes less than 8 minutes? keep in mind this is a 9th grade class...

the first thing that comes to mind is a little craft thing like origami, a sachet or making a pompodore(sp?)--it's an orange covered in cloves and hung from a ribbon that smells nice. quick and easy. good luck. i am sure you will do something fab since you are getting a good head-start.

Remember that thing we used, made of paper and had folds that you showed them and they picked a color, then a number and you unfolded the triangle bit and read a "fortune"?
1. Square paper.
2 fold it certain ways
3. Color and number the segments
4. write the 'fortunes'
5. Try it on someone.

Ha, let's see.... you could show how to make sandwiches....^^ or how to work a math problem that's kind of hard....( i personally wouldn't....I suck at math) just think of things that you like to do and show other people...you'll have more fun that way, and get a better grade. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.

1] how to sew on a button
2] give a facial
3] give a manicure
4] blow dry your hair [ or curl, or straighten ]
5] make an omelet pancakes/fruit smoothie
6] emergency bra/hem/shoe repair [ hint - use a stapler ]
7] feed a baby or doll/ diaper bathe
8] cut your cat's toenails [ he-he-he ]/groom your dog
9] give a massage

Yes, teach them how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They're easy, but it does require a lot of steps.
