I actually wonder what you can do with a degree in General Studies. My university had these degrees--basically, you don't pick a major.

There are no fields that are worthless. Even those that appear to be useless may train students to think critically and express themselves clearly both verbally and in writing.
However, there are degrees taht are worthless simply because the student skated through the program and learned very little.

Philosophy is a pretty worthless one.
History is another bad one (unless you want to teach).
Basically, any degree that the only practical thing you can do with is teach other people.

... isnt a degree just a really expensive piece of paper, its not like its saying you will actually remember anything they taught you
