just to clarify- i am not married and i happen to have a very good drive. i made the comment about getting all the time when i get married- to which my friend laughed though he never denies his wife sex. so i was just curious if it occurs more often than not that men turn down their wives... just want to be prepared... :)

after 19 years (14 married), i can count on less than one hand the number of times i've said "no" to her. a man has got to get it when he can. there've been times when i was dog-tired, but saying no may have meant not getting any for a while. ya gotta "just do it."

Yes, there are times.
Illness, tiredness and stress are some of the top reasons.
Work can be very stressful and when it gets bad it's often hard to think of sex.
When a person is sick or just worn out from work or doing things around the house, sure, it happens.
One thing that guys hate to talk about but it's a factor as well, is he has already taken care of things himself, by himself, and the idea of having to do something right afterwards often isn't possible.
Finally, for guys, sex is work. They have to do an awful lot just to make it okay, let alone good. For women the experience is that they can wait and have the guy do everything. It's totally different.

We turn each other down. We make it happen every day, but at certain times of the day, it won't work for us. So if I try in the middle of the day, he'll be like "the kids" which I don't care if they are awake. Then if he tries too late, I'm like " I'm tired." But there is an equal medium that we have to reach, because the outcome is a far greater reward than the sleep is.

I don't know about the other wives but my husband rarely ever turns down sex!!! The only reason is if I come on to him right after a big meal and he's full. All that shakin' around makes him feel quesy.

My husband has turned me down 3 times in our 4 year marriage and it was because I woke him up. the next weekend I turned him down and it was a fight that lasted a week. Men are a lot more emotional than we like to think.

You turn your wife down for sex when you are cheating or too stressed to get it up

Men usually don't turn their wives down since they are the ones who usually have the stronger sex drive... If he's too tired from working all day he might!

I basically only get turned down if it's way too late at night or if he's feeling sick. Otherwise, it's always the other way around.

the only time we turn both down is if were to tired to open are eyes once we crawl into bed, other than that never. You both sleep much better and the next day is sooooo much nicer.

my husband turns me down every once in awhile.

Sometimes I tell him I want him and he's sleeping, and he tells me 'well, next time wake me up'....I've tried to wake him up before.....and he tells me no, lol. Then later claims he doesn't remember.

And then there are times when he just doesn't respond to anything I do.....not sure why. He never says 'no'...just ignores me more or less...
