A good wife is a good wife - from any culture.

A good wife supports her husband by caring for their mutual needs, their house and possessions, and their children. A good wife knows and appreciates the importance of faith, honor, honesty and modesty.

Notice I used the word "THEIR." That is because the duties/responsiblities are shared. They are not mutually exclusive. A good husband should be just as involved with managing the house and raising the children as the wife is.

This is especially true now that more and more women (western and Indian) work outside of the home. The husband who expects to be master of the house and his silent little mouse of a wife to wait on him hand and foot doesn't want a wife - he wants a servant.

He certainly doesn't deserve a "good wife."

The same is true for the wife who rules the roost like some harpy and browbeats her hard-working faithful husband all the time. She too doesn't want a husband...And she certainly doesn't deserve a "good man."

Believe me it's cheaper to hire a servant than to marry one.
