There's debate about Baraka Obama's claimed College Conversion to Christianity. There are those who say it;s a real and genuine conversion, while others say he did it for political or business reasons. Specifically, it's claime that he's not really a Christian at all, but a Muslim who started pretending to be Christian to improve his business prospects in Middle America.

What do you think?

Is Barak Obama a Christian, or a Muslim cynically pretending to be Christian in order to fool us all?

I think that with the climate of the world and the position of the US, no one who has any ties with the Muslim religion has any place being president. PERIOD.

I do not care what he "claims" his religion is.

Call me what you want. But, this is NOT something to be PC about.

tward-----you are absolutely correct...

Soufl---(above me) YOU are wrong...YOU need to read before posting what you do not know.

Well this is far from P.C. if anyone is Muslim they should not be president or have any-other stand in our government. While I understand that all do not put their faith first, Most do. According to the W.S.G. , Fox, MSNBC, CNN and the T.B.T
I am not comfortable with all these stats. Their is one stat that has over 100 questions on it. When it asked the young Muslims if they condone the actions of the suicide bombers 1 out of every 4 said yes. I am an American first. I am a Mother Second. I am a person of Faith Third. Yes I put being an American above being a Mother. That means if I were called to fight for my country I would. If one of my boys were called to fight for his country he would. We are all for one and one for all that is being an American is. I am tired of all this P.C. crap. That is just my point of view. Don't like it Lump it.

I believe he is a Christian...he attended a Muslim school when he was alot younger because of his parents. He is not pretending - I believe he is one of the most sincere and honest ones out there..he isn't taking money from corporations unlike the others yet everyone wants to try to come up with something because he is a very intelligent man with some very strong and honest opinions. And I like him...he inspires hope...not more of the same.

Not that it matters, but he did attend Christian religious classes at a PUBLIC school in Indonesia. The public school he attended had once a week religion classes and the religions offered were Islam and Christianity. Most of his schoolmates attended Muslim religious classes, but he and 5 or 6 others attended Christian classes. The teachers in the school were about 50% Muslim and 50% Christian. All of this is according to the CNN program in which they actually went to the school and looked at old school photos and records.

Additionally, for business prospects in America, one might be better off pretending to be Muslim. Muslims have a higher than average income in this country. Also, I don't know if you have ever been to Chicago, but it's not lacking in Muslims nor people who are accepting of Muslims. In fact, Northern Illinois has one of the highest Muslim population densities in the country, falling behind only to the Detroit area.

There's no REAL debate about it. The only people debating it are those who are titillated by rumor and character assassination. They don't seem to have a working brain in their heads.

It is endlessly amusing to me that there are people who love to think he's a Muslim in disguise. What do they think this would accomplish? He's going to get in office and WHAT? Open the door to terrorists all by his lonesome? Stage a coup of our government and grab the microphone yelling "Jihad to all Americans?" Yes, and then we'll all just fall in line lol.

The man is a Christian, and all the conspiracy theorists around this look like a bunch of fools suggesting anything else but what the evidence clearly shows. I'm not even an Obama supporter, but I don't need to make up crap to explain why I don't support him for President.

Who cares? What we NEED to worry about is his stand on issues that affect us as citizens...health care, the deficit, oil prices, imports and exports, the stupid war we are needlessly involved in, taxes, immigration problems, global warming, things that affect us all regardless of religious beliefs. Our country is in a true crisis and the last thing we need to be concerned about is someone's personal choices. Lets start concerning ourselves with the important things that are needed to protect us and keep us the free society we are all accustomed to.

Obama was never Muslim. He has more connections with atheism and agnosticism, though he is currently Christian. I actually think that someone who has knowledge of varying parts of the world, as he does, may be more qualified to deal with the rest of the world than others.

I think it doesn't matter what his personally-held beliefs are...

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.
