Typically the buyer, but everything is subject to negotiation. Bear in mind that if you ask the seller to pay for the appraisal, this comes off the seller's bottom line, and they will generally want a price closer to the asking price. So either way, the buyer is basically paying for the appraisal.

The buyer generally pays for it, and should pay for it, since the appraisal is performed for reasons required by the buyer and not the seller.
Of course, it could be negotiated into the deal, but anytime you ask for more out of a seller, you're going to set up more of a stone wall when it comes to price negotiation.

The buyer generally pays for the appraisal. You can put it in the contract that the seller pay for it, but custom is that the buyer pays for it. If the contract is silent, it will come out of the buyer's funds at closing.

Typically the buyer, but a motivated seller may reimburse the cost in the close - it depends on how fees and whatknot were negotiated in the offer paperwork.

I've had both, It depends on the way you set it up in the contract. I haven't seen it anywhere that one specific individual pays for it.
Good luck!
