Normal "good" water pressure is 40 to 80 pounds. Anything over 80 is too high and you will need to install a pressure reducer/regulator valve in the main coming into the house.

what type of piping.. cpvc can go 150. the problem is more pressure can wear the insides of fixtures out.. washers etc. keep it below 80 and you want have any complaints.. but it doesnt take 1/2 that to run a 2.5gph shower head

35 -45 PSI is ideal. Anything higher and you run the chance of busting lines.
