Pregnancy IS exhausting!!
Talk to your doctor, but chances are this is perfectly normal.
I know that now I'm 27 weeks and still completely exhausted. I HAVE to get out of bed because of my toddler son, but exhaustion is huge.
Talk to your doctor about it though--mine prescribed more iron.

I feel the same way. I am 24 weeks today and all I want to do is lay down and SLEEP. I can sleep a great 8 hours at night, and be back in the bed 4 hours later for another 2 hour nap. The one thing I don't like is that I can't stay out in the sun for more than 10 minutes without getting lightheaded.

When I was pregnant last year I wa the same way. I said something to my mom about not being this tired when I was pregnant with our son 18 months before, and she reminded me that I didn't have a toddler to chase after the first time either, so that might be a huge part of it. If you are a stay-at-home mom just try to nap when your older child naps, if they are not in school. Also, if you were a coffee drinker before, go ahead and have a cup or two of coffee in the AM. Recent studies have shown that 2-3 8 oz, regular strength coffee is safe during pregnancy.

Usually the 2nd trimester is the best, but, maybe your body is telling you something. Get lots of sleep. Eat little bits all day. Try simple exercise (walking). Anemia really got me down. Are you eating good sources of iron? That helped me a lot. Pre-natal vitamins made me feel sick sometimes too. Maybe your OB could swtch your vitamins? I felt this way with my 5th pregnancy and turns out the baby was lying funny in utero (he was born face down). I think this made a big difference in my energy level. If your OB says the baby is okay, don't fret. You're just having a tough pregnancy this time. Good luck!

it's normal to feel exhausted during pregnancy. Im at 19 weeks and feeling more tired than when I was in the beginning of my pregnancy. I think i'll end up getting even more exhausted once I hit the 3rd trimester. Just relax.

I have a doctor’s appointment today, I'm going to ask if I have anemia. I'm so tired I don't even want to cook anymore. This is for the person who commented on her being pregnant twice at 23. There is nothing wrong with that.

I was so exhausted in my first trimester I had to take vitamin B50 in addition to my prenatal vitamins. As soon as that trimester ended, I felt less tired. I am now 21 weeks and am finding I need to rest more again, but being more active throughout the day helps. It's tough to do at first but once you get moving, it gets easier to move and your energy levels should come back up within a few days.

Yep - totally normal and you're right - all pregnancies are different.
when I was in my first and second trimester I would seriously wake up in the morning and barely make it to the sofa for a nap. Talk about tired!
Just take it easy and try to rest as much as possible! The fatigue does lessen somewhat as you get further along.

have you been taking ferrous sulphate or iron tablets you could be badly aneamic and lacking iron, which can easily happen during in pregnancy in fact i suffer from it now and again when i am not pregnant and believe every hour is hard work all i want to do is sleep and also remember some prgnancy are just alot harder then others it might just be that, but I would check with your doctor or midwife to check all is well.
