Yes -
when I was in the military, I worked Swings (2pm - 11pm)
and my wife worked during the day. (9-5) It was hard, and it sounds like your "love language" is quality time, where you feel most loved by spending time with your partner. I don't know the commitment level of your relationship, but if it's more serious than not, you need to find a way to make it work.
Schedule time for you and your partner ahead of time, and make it clear it's time for just the two of you. Also, it probably won't be that way forever. If it's a serious relationship, and you really want to stay with this person, don't turn to other people of the same sex as your partner, because that's just disaster with a countdown. Also, take the weekends, no one works 7 days a week. (besides sales) Hope this helps. I know how you feel.

We did for 5 years when the kids were younger so that one or the other would be with them at all times. I worked 3am to 1pm and was home by 1:30, he had to leave at 1:30 to be at work by 2, and he got off at 10:30pm. It did get lonely sometimes, but I had the kids to keep me company. We would go for walks around the neighborhood, go tot he movies, or swim in the apartment complexes pool. We kept in touch ovet the phone. He would call me on his breaks, and I called every morning at 6am to wake everyone up and wish them a good day. I think in some ways it was an "absense makes the heart grow fonder" case. During those 5 years I can count on one hand the number of fights we had.

My hubby and I work at the same place, but he works there full time and I work only part time. I have two days during the weekday when I am not working and without my hubby, so I make the most of them by relaxing, sleeping in, and coming online and chatting to my friends and playing games etc. I find my days without him go pretty quick and I don't get bored! Maybe go and visit friends and family if you're bored, or go out shopping and chat on here etc.

Yes and it was horrible! My boyfriend and I live together. I work in an office from 8:30am-5pm, he works at the railroad and changes shifts pretty often. The worst was when he was working evening shift from 3pm-11pm. Talk about being bored!

I used to work for an armed security company where I would work 4 days a week, 12 hour shifts, from 6pm to 6am. It sucked and I never saw my wife. I had to quit that poop and get a new job, but it's cool now cause I make more money and work less hours!

yes, hes my boyfriend tho. =( it was terrible! we couldnt do it! If you can try to moved each other's schedules around to have more time together. ultimately, it will come down to sacrifice. do you want to sacrifice time together for a few yrs or months or so for money? or is time together more important?
me and my boyfriend are in graduate schools and we both work crazy hours. we would never see each other and also be too tired when we talk on the phone at night. Now, we try to work at the same time and cut back on our work hours for each other because we really miss each other alot =(
we're tryin to work on studying together but so far we cant do it yet

Yes my fiance would go to work from 4pm-2:30am. I work from 8am-4:30pm. I only saw him Friday night and Saturday and Sunday. It sucked then he lost his job last month, and well I'm not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.
