Well, you have to start by getting a Bachelor's degree first and from there, it depends on the program, how many hours it requires and how many hours you are able to take each semester. I got my Master's in 2 years, but we were required to commit to it full time. Most people are working at the same time and, therefore, have to do it in increments.
Good luck.

Most masters degrees take one or two years of full time study -- after getting a bachelor's degree.

typically 4 years to get your bachelors, then 2 years to get your masters. of course, a lot of people take longer than that. there are some schools that offer a 5 year BA/MA combo. after 5 years you get both degrees, so it cuts down on a year of studying.
