On Average, how many ounces can the human mouth hold?

I'm sure that information exists, somewhere, to at least six significant figures, and broken down by race, income, religion and shoe size, but who's going to search for it, or care if it's really accurate? I'd suggest you fill your mouth with water and empty it into a measuring cup. I did; mine holds 4 ounces. I'll bet Dizzy Gillespie's could hold a quart.
