Balancing Equtaions?
Determine the product and then balance the following equations. Remember to use 2 for a subscript if you have a diatomic element by itslf.

So how would you do...

C16H30O16 + O2 =???

C3H60 + O2 =???

CaI2 + Cr2O=???

Al + HCl =???

CaF2 + K3(PO4) =???

I arleady send you the answer :

2 C16 H30 O16 + 31 O2 >> 32 CO2 + 30 H2O

C3H6O + 4 O2 >> 3CO2 + 3 H2O

2 Al + 6 HCl >> 2 AlCl3 + 3 H2

3CaF2 +2 K3PO4 >> Ca3(PO4)3 +6 KF

C16H30O16+O2---> CO2 + H2O (combustion)
C3H60+O2--->CO2 + H2O (combustion)
i have no idea what the first compound/element is in the 3rd one
Al+HCl---->AlCl+H2 (single replacement)
CaF2+K3PO4(no parenthesis...its an ion group but theres only one)--------->Ca3(PO4)2 + KF (double displacement)
heres the products! sorry but i dont have time to balance them:(

Sorry, but I'm not here to do your homework for you. I will help you learn how to balance equations though.

This is a good resource on this topic:
http://www.science.uwaterloo.ca/~cchieh/cact/c123/balance.html

And so is ChemTutor:
http://www.chemtutor.com/redox.htm

Read the examples and come back with specific questions, not problems to answer and we can help.

C16H30O16 + 31/2O2 ---> 16CO2 + 15H2O

C3H60 + 16O2 ---> 3CO2 + 30H2O

CaI2 + 2Cr2O -----> 2CaO + 4Cr

2Al + 6HCl ------> 2AlCl3 + 3H2

3CaF2 + 2K3(PO4) -------> 6KF + Ca3(PO4)2
