Spring always triggers spring childhood traumas. Here's one. When I was small some kids told me that the pansies were like little people (if you look at them their petals look like faces) and that they would bite all my fingers off if I wasn't careful. So when it was time to walk home from school, past the pansies, I was so scared and would run as fast as I could until they were far enough in my rear view mirror. Things got better when the weather got hot and the pansies died out. But then I had to watch out for the dragon flies that the kids said would sew your mouth up if you weren't careful. Wait till you hear what came in the autumn!

Seeing my horse get hit by a car, I left my friend to hold him , while I went to get change for a soda, he took off across the road, a car came around the bend, I saw him just comming down after bouncing off the windshield, he died in my arms from massive trauma. the people in the car admitted to have been drinking, no charges were filed on either side, Oh did I mention it was X-mas eve I was 15. This is a true story it happened on BIANCHI rd in Stockton CA, in the late 80's.In front of Flying J stabels.

Once my own mother came towards me angrily with a large knife in her hand. She subsequently passed out onto the floor, and has no memory of this. Also, when I was in sixth grade, there was a period when I would get regular, almost ritual Friday beatings if my behavior at school that week hadn't been perfect. Imagine this: that the fear and anticipation leading up to each Friday was far worse as psychological torment, than the actual beatings...

I knocked myself unconcsious numerable times, went to the ER so much they questioned my parents. Other than that, my parents screaming, fighting, my Dad broke my Mom's arm during a fight and I saw it, the list goes on and on. I lived in a very toxic home with a bipolar mom and an angry dad.My childhood was anything but happy and peaceful.

I was burned 3rd degree burns when I was 6 years old. It gave me nightmares. I almost lost my little brother and my dad was in a coma for months. It was the worse I went through. I had to go to therapy and learn how to walk again.

My dad was always working and my mom was never home, I was always left with someone to look after me, my parents were never a part of my life, they showed no interest in my accomplishments- school, friends, etc. When we had a fun day in school, all of my friends parents showed up, but mine never did, it was always my aunt or grandmother. But I love my parents with all of me.
