If I see an elderly woman coming I will hold the door for her if she looks frail. If she is older but looks like she can manage the door without me, then I will move along. Seldom ever am I somewhere where I see a frail elderly man, don't know why, but I don't. I try and be very respectful of my elders.

If i see someone walking behind me i hold the door for them no matter how old they are. its just common courtesy. Besides, im never in such a big hurry that i cant do something that simple.

I'll even hold the door for my juniors! Common courtesy demands this.
