I believe that it should be offered as an elective, and not imposed upon children who may not be interested, or whose religious beliefs/ideas or just personal beliefs, conflict. That way everyone can be happy.

LOL...Thumbs down all you want but my suggestion is balanced. YOU wouldn't want something imposed on YOU that countered what you believe is right or "normal "(for you) or your religious rights, which are our basic fundamental freedoms. Forcing something on someone that counters there beliefs is WHAT CAUSES PROBLEMS, not SOLVES THEM.

i do no longer want any curriculum shoved down the throats of faculty babies. I do think of a good training might handle homosexuality (besides as all social communities), consisting of its historic past and the modern politics bearing directly to it. i think of maximum places enable mum and dad the choice to homeschool their babies or deliver their babies to very own college, if the mum and dad do no longer basically like the curriculum at public faculties. i do no longer want teenagers to have a gay existence-form shoved down their throats any further or any decrease than i choose a heterosexual existence-form shoved down their throats.

I don't want any curriculum shoved down the throats of school children. I do think a good education would address homosexuality (as well as all social groups), including its history and the contemporary politics relating to it. I think most places allow parents the option to homeschool their children or send their children to private school, if the parents don't like the curriculum at public schools.

I don't want kids to have a homosexual lifestyle shoved down their throats any more or any less than I want a heterosexual lifestyle shoved down their throats.

Homosexuality has played a part in History, look at Alexander the great, he shared his bed with another man... It also plays a big part in Health class. Probably even plenty of other subjects, to include Sociology, Anthropology, English, etc... We didn't make homosexuality, it's here... So denying it and denying education for people is really ignorant and pointless. That's would be like signing for your child to not learn sex ed, because you feel they can better learn it from the parents or on the street... Education is really important! Remember you are suppose to study History so you don't repeat the same mistakes...

Homosexuality isn't a belief like religion, so it should be taught in schools. I'm not saying special classes or subjects. But it could just be incorporated into certain classes already. The more you know, the better off your are in life. You might not agree with homosexuality, but we are here, and you can't get rid of us. Plus teaching someone about sexuality doesn't make them become that sexuality... If that was the case, we would all be straight. :P

I don't know what's so gay about it. If it means including the contributions of LGBT people into history, this has already been done... just unlabeled. I guess this is needed now in order to bolster respect and esteem for the gay community... One day, when people no longer gauge you based on your sexual orientation, this curriculum too will be gone...

I think that children , from a young age, should always be told and taught about the truth. I don't think a gay curriculum should be shoved down their throats...but I think they should be taught about the world that they are going to live in.

Be more specific about "cirriculum". I'm sure they're not teaching sex tips or how to pick up men. Do you mean the fact that school teaches kids that there are many people on this planet and not everyone is exactly like everyone else and should all get along? Gosh, what a concept...

That's bull and you know it.

And what is a "gay corriculum"? I don't get it. Is it teaching about homosexuality?

Oh no, not information, not education, smart people are awful after all.

If a parent doesn't want a kid learning something, the school has to do what the parent wants, otherwise they get sued.

This is a dumb argument.

oh, I see....now you believe that Gays are recruiting from the ranks of children? Get a life and get real. There is no Gay curriculum, has never been one, and I have been well out for 40 years. The only agenda I have seen concerning Gays is that of the "moral majority" which, as has been said over and over in the past, "is neither." Gays do not go about trying to "convert" straights...straight produce all the Gays the world needs. It is YOUR children that are gay, not ours. What are you going to do when one of your children informs you that they are gay? It is a very real possibility, dear. Face it now before you mishandle the event were it to happen, and stop being foolish. There are very real things in life to worry about, and this is not one of them. IF it were up to people like you, Gays would not have jobs and probably all be dead. IT ain't gonna happen.

I think children do need to be educated about the GLBT community. I think it would help them realize that we are no different then they are. Plus if a student is gay/bi him/herself then they can be informed about this kind of stuff. There are a lot of gay/bi youth that wonders if their feelings are ok or not. If a teacher had discussions with the whole class on this topic, I think it would help them out tremendously! Just like teaching kids in schools about black rights and about other nationalities. I think teaching them that has helped a little to stop racism. Doing this I think would lower hate towards homosexuals.

Well, since great gobs of c/ped text are the only things people who agree with you seem to understand:

Times have changed.
Our kids are getting worse.
They won't obey their parents;
They just want to fart and curse!

Should we blame the government?
Or blame society?
Or should we blame the images on TV?

NO! Blame Canada!
Blame Canada!
With all their beady little eyes
And flappin' heads so full o' lies!

Blame Canada!
Blame Canada!
We need to form a full assault!
It's Canada's fault!

Don't blame me
For my son Stan.
He saw the darned cartoon
And now he's off to join the Klan!

And my boy Eric once
Had my picture on his shelf,
But now when I see him he tells me to f*** myself.

Well? Blame Canada!
Blame Canada!
It seems that everything's gone wrong
Since Canada came along!

Blame Canada!
Blame Canada!
They're not even a real country anyway!

My son could've been a doctor or a lawyer, rich and true.
Instead he burned up like a piggy on a barbecue.
Should we blame the matches?
Should we blame the fire?
Or the doctors who allowed him to expire?
Heck, no!

Blame Canada!
Blame Canada!
With all their hockey hullabaloo
And that b!tch, Anne Murray, too.

All: Blame Canada!
Shame on Canada!

For the
Smut we must stop, the trash we must smash.
The laughter and fun must all be undone.
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before somebody thinks of blaming
Us!
