We were all created the same way, same process, and yet, we've outsmarted overy other specie on the planet and began to see ourselves as the leader of the Earth. Have you ever heard of a person who considers him/her self an Animal? i think not! Why couldn't Dogs or Cats be superior? (we're started as apes) What makes us so special?

Becuase we can maintain meta-positions; that is - we can think about our thinking. and think about thinking about our thinking. Other animals cannot.

Kurt Vonnegut Jr. recently passed away. He had written a great short story which can be found in "Welcoma to the monkey house". You should read that story. Its called "Edisons shaggy dog "
We are like cats and dogs. especially when we are embrio's. We developed our brains as a defense mechanism. We ARE NOT SUPERIOR !
Greed is a by product of the big brain
Glutony. We will be responsible for killing all living breathing things on this planet.
Animals have sharp claws, and big teeth etc. these things will not bring the demise of all life, Therefor we are just a forever evolving species of religeous freaks. The worst by product of the big brain....Religion ! I tiger does not wonder if he is being a good enough tiger to get to some tiger heaven ! Or kill anothe r animal because it doesnt believe the same thing . He kills because he is hungry. Therefore he kills only what he can eat. We kill all the time for the wrong reasons.

Our brains are more developed that those of other animals. And God created one species to be the smartest of the animal kingdom - Yes, humans are animals too. Just think of what would happen if a cat or dog were just as smart as a human. That would be confusion. The scientific name for humans is "homo sapiens" which means "knowing man" in Latin. It basically means we have the power to think and make appropriate decisions.

all in all, the thing which makes us most special is our BRAIN.

no longer inevitably. Having worked in animal rescue, i've got confidence that some animals are plenty extra useful than particular people available. i've got considered firsthand what morally bankrupt human beings can do to animals, and this is appalling. As people, we've diverse theory techniques than different animals, yet whether or no longer that makes us "extra desirable" may be a component of discussion. we are in a position to rather maim and kill those creatures; what separates us from them, i think, is the occasional summoning of ethics that it would take to refrain from doing so. i'm Roman Catholic. As for the bonus question, the final action picture I watched became the secret technology Theater 3000 version of "youngsters From Outer area".

'outsmarted every other species' I would say we drove them to extinction

There are a lot of people who treat their fellow humans worse than animals.

What is crucial is the Brain to Body size ratio

Interestingly dolphins have a higher ratio than humans. This means that their society and language must be more nuanced than ours.

since we humans don't understand dolphin speak, dog speak or any other animal words, we are superior because we say so. and I must admit, we've done a simply special job taking care of our earth and each other. how proud we should all be.

Agriculture. With agriculture, we have been able to reproduce beyond the natural carrying capacity of the land. With increasing efficiency in agriculture, it is now possible for the majority of people to be involved in something other than growing food.

The question assumes , yet there are those who would question... it's verity.
For example...Survivalists might nominate the cockroach which preceded Man and which will be around long after Man has disappeared, according to anthropologists.
However, our opposeable thumbs make me demur.

We can make tools / technology to better our lives, animals can't. In the end we all go to the same place though.

God wanted us this way? Either that or evolution is just on our side... At this point it is basically because we have genuine emotions and have the capability contemplateing the meaning of life and the meaning of our own existance.
