Phase diagram, triple point, three states at equilibrium - solid, liquid, gas. What would you propose for the putative fourth state that would not preclude at least one of the other three states of matter from coexisting?

That point is diferent for different substances, it may not exist for many like water.

Plasma water is just a stream of H and O nuclei.
