This Dem was saddened. Unlike many televangelists who dabble in politics he seemed genuine in his beliefs, but obviously misguided. Al Sharpton had some nice things to say about Falwell. He said they ate together a few times and enjoyed his company.

Thats a dumb question...who would be elated over a Holy mans death? This was a man of God.. Just a man who tryed to make a difference in a truly evil world. Just a man who told it like it is,and was not afraid to speak his mind.He was an eloquent speaker and a down to earth human being who truly had God in his heart. What the world needs is more men like Jerry falwell..A man who dedicated his life to God and education.

I am saddened by with Falwell's efforts to tear down the wall separating church and state. No death brings me joy. That said, I'm glad he's no longer able to influence politics or guide that "school" he founded.
