If you define "basic cause of human death" to be some one thing, your question makes sense.
But it seems silly to me to say that a 110 year old whose heart slows and then stops died from the same cause as someone crushed to death in a car accident.
What purpose does it serve, except as an empty intellectual exercise?

The cause of all death is sin.
In the beginning there was no death.
The penalty of disobedience for Adam and Eve was death. Not just for them but for all their descendents. In fact the whole of creation was cursed and is now groaning unde the curse.
But death is a temporary intruder. Jesus has already defeated death and paid the penalty for all sin. If you believe in Him then come judgement day he will pay the death penalty rightly due to each of us, and have eternal life.
Reject Jesus and the outlook is not bright.

There is one exception to the cause of death - some people were vaporized instantaneously by the atomic bombs dropped in Japan.
