They already have. But with Bush being the liar that he is, he is reneging on his statement that we will only stay in Iraq as long as they want us there.

Mr. Liberal-hater, not thinking of possibilities is incredibly short-sighted and well, remarkably stupid.

That being said, it's true we must think practically about what is. I have a feeling Bush will keep the troops there without funding and make some unintelligible comments about how liberals are killing the troops. There should be some real spending limits though and wise decisions about where money goes. We need to get Halliburton out of picture if the war is to have any hope of credibility.

As to the true question, if they ask us to get out, we should get out. That seems pretty clear. I think Bush would do that, but I don't think the Iraqi government will. If they voted for us to leave, and then we didn't I don't see how Rush f-tard and his wingnut conservatives could possibly say that its not occupation. I'm sure he and his cronies will try though.

Seems to me that if the Iraqi government finally says that, then our job is done and our troops can come home.

However, the way it is right now is that the Iraqi government are toothless paper leaders. The second our troops move out, they would be overthrown and all the work we've done there would be lost.

Then we would leave.

However since members of the elected Iraqi government came over her to ask Congress not to cut funding to the troops - I doubt that this will happen anytime soon.

The really sad thing is that the Democrats refuse to even talk to the elected Iraqi leaders - but went over to brown-nose the Syrian dictator.

LOL! No way! those in power in Iraq are only holding on to that power because we're there. The Iraqi people want us out but not the puppet government.

If we are truthful, and have helped them install the government they wanted, and THAT government (not crooked or radical forces within that government) demands that we leave, we would do so...........using their army as a shield to cover our rear flank.

That would mean the Iraqi people were finally in line with the American people, and the "Powers That Be" should finally just get the hell out!!!!!!!!!

Well, we'll still be over there. What makes you think that President Bush will listen to the people of Iraq? He doesn't even listen to his own people!

This is your opinion. You liberals want it to be such so you do not have to vote to end funding.

I do not deal in what ifs. I deal in what is.
