Buckethead (born Brian Carroll in 1969), is an American guitarist and composer. With his signature white plastic mask and Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket, Carroll created a persona in order to emphasize his music over his personal identity. He is a prolific composer, having released 18 solo albums and performed on 33 more. His music spans a wide variety of genres including thrash metal, funk, electronica and avant-garde.
