What good are humans? Have humans made the earth a better place for birds and other animals? Are humans useful? If so how are they useful? Do humans spread diseases?
Please - your question is irrelevant and obscures the understanding of natural processes on earth. Judging the usefullness of other species using human prejudices should not be done.

Birds eat insects. Since insects carry diseases and eat crops, this benefits us.

Some birds are pollinators, helping plants reproduce.

Some birds carry seeds. It's one of the ways that new islands get plant life.

Some birds eat fruit and the fruit seed is cracked open in their craw, and this is what allows the seed to germinate. There used to be a tree called Calvaria major that required the dodo for this purpose. The dodos were killed in the 1600's, and there hasn't been a natural Calvaria major tree "born" since then. There were only 13 of these trees left when scientists discovered what the dodo had done for them, and now people open the seeds artifically.

Some birds are scavengers. Without vultures and condors and crows, we would be up to our armpits in dead things.
