I think it is rediculous that the U.S. doesn't tap into our own strategic reserves. We have enough resources to last through our lifetimes and several generations after us. By that time, we should be bright enough to have developed alternative technology.

Just gotta love that Congress of ours. They never cease to allow us to be B**** slapped in the eyes of every other nation of the world. Thanks Congress!!

I have been paying a higher price for diesel fuel than any grade of gasoline for 18 months or so. Why wasn't everyone talking about that? I would pay $3.50, have been for a while.

Someone who needs to drive someplace.

Here's the deal, darlin' - we'll know that gas prices are "too high" when the roads start to open up a bit cuz some folks are staying off them due to the high prices.

So far, we don't seem to be even close to approaching that point. It's expected that gas will have to get closer to $5/gallon for that to happen!

Honey, I'm paying not $3.50 but $3.05 and fully anticipate on paying more before I pay less. You can't whine about it...either drive or don't. I hate the gas prices, hate them, hate them....but what can I do...I have to have my car. I condense my driving, I use my halfway mark on my gas tank as empty so therefore, I fill up when I get halfway....it makes it a little less on my pockets...not much...but a little

Obviously everyone.

I know when I was a teen and gas was 80 cents a gallon, we used to pool our money together and stuff as many as we could into one car to go everywhere.

Now, just about every teen I know has their own car and they are on the road constantly.

So, until gas gets to like 10 bucks a gallon.... you won't see people try to change their habits. They don't want to change.. they just want cheap fuel.

You will be paying 5+ within 2 years. At some point, it will shift to another technology that can run parallel to the petroleum energy industry. I'm hoping electric. Free market is great isn't it!?

In the 1970's the Europeans were paying almost $4.00/gallon then it is almost twice that now. Why do you think they build such wonderful mass transit systems.
