My daughter is 6 months old and I have a problem trying to get her diaper on. She started this a few weeks ago. She squirms and squirms and starts to whine when I try to put a diaper on her. It takes like 5 minutes to get one on her. Any suggestions on what I can do? I already have everything ready to go when I try.

Try giving her a toy to play with while you are changing her. Or talk or sing to her and keep her mind preoccupied so you can do your diaper change.

Ah yes, now the fun begins! If you can, give her a naked minute or two. Or be very fast! I assume (if I'm wrong please listen carefully) that you are not changing her on a table anymore, with her being this squirmy she could easily fall. Toys can help, or try singing the ABCs really slowly, be done with the diapering when the song ends, after a few times, your daughter will understand the time it will take and will most likely stay still until at least T. She will only get more squirmy and you will get faster, I promise. Good luck

Try giving her a toy to play with while you change her. You may also try a different brand of diaper. I noticed that the Pampers Cruisers are really easy to put on. Unfortunity with my son he seems to brake out in a rash every time we use them. Plus, when we change him the diaper really has an odor.

I keep a stash of little toys on the shelf under my changing table. They are toys that have buttons to push and make noises. I give one to my son during diaper changes and he stays distracted with the toy while I change the diaper.

I think this is just a stage babies go through. I once had to help my sister change my neice by physically holding her down because she absolutely would not sit still. She had a poopy diaper and really REALLY didn't want to be changed. My sister's second baby is doing this now also, and she is 7 months old. She's tough to keep still, you just have to be quick, roll her back over when she tries to roll away.

What I did was I gave my baby a diaper to play with while I was changing him. I would put it on top of his head and say "Diaper Head" and laugh. He stayed there until I was finished.

Try a special toy that she only gets to play with at changing time. This has worked wonders for my nieces and nephews.

keep her busy with a toy or something that she can focus other than you changing her or baby talk to her if it doesn't work hen hold her by her legs and explain to her that you need for her to stay still mean while your changing her you think she doesn't understand you but kids and baby's are very smart
