It's a boy name...you know, like Carson Daly? But people give boy names to girls all the time, so if you like it for a girl then go for it

It could be either or. I know a boy named Carson and a gril named Carson. Personally, I would prefer it for a boy.

I think of Carson as a boy's name, but I've once met a girl named Carsyn. Hmmm.
It is an "either gender" name, but I'd use it on a boy, rather.

I have known one Carson in my life and he was a man. I think it is definetly Masculine. In names the ending 'son' was usually applied to a name to mean 'son of', which makes any 'son' name clearly masculine.
