Hi Scatty,

The answer is yes...therapy is a good way to get couples together with a neutral third party to help work through the problems that couples face...some of the things that the therapist does is to give you ideas, exercises, and to give you more understanding of your or your partner's behavior...and these things can be intimacy problems, abuse, addiction, financial, etc...and if the problems cannot be worked through, this will come out also...I would highly recommend it...Hope this helps!!

yes I have, its helps comunication and helps resolve issues and if, down the line, you both decide to call it a day it helps make that easier and less of a battle [to part amiably]

most relate and berevement therapists have a better training than a lot of other therapists.

Therapy works only if the couple is honest to the therapist so he/she cna do her job.

Why do you want to bring a mediator into the situation you and your husband should sit down and discuss without anyone else that is the best medicine

Therapy can work if both parties are open to change.

yeah it is hard to get therapy to work, both of you have to want to change.

i dont think outside help will help. it will just be 'papering over the cracks' - if a relationship has broken down - its usually the beginning of the end. sorry - just my opinion.
