Well, the pollutants in the atmosphere caused by our factories and emissions cause the Ozone layer to chemically react with these chemicals and as a result, the ozone layer depletes and more heat and sun rays enter the atmosphere. This is just one thing out of many that is occuring. Hope this helps.

For many years there has been a major international group effort to try to study and determine the facts on climate change. This is called the International Panel on Climate Change IPCC. The group has more than 1000 active scientists from more than 100 different countries, and is supported by the work of many thousand more scientists. It is absolutely the most authoritative by far of any voice in this topic.

You can read the IPCC reports online. They have been endorsed by the world science community and they have the conclusion that the world is warming, that there is very good evidence that the temperature change is NOT due to changes in the sun, is NOT just the normal climate changes that have always occured, and IS due to human activity, primarily the use of fossil fuels that contain Carbon.

The same people who deny Global Warming are the people who 40 years ago would have been defending the cigarette industry, or the radium industry or the asbestos industry. Some people will sell their souls for a few dollars. They dont care what happens to the earth or to the next generation. I just wish we could put their names on a big plaque so that their families could be ashamed of them for the next 500 years.

The lack of science is going to really harm us one day. One of those is by making it easy for political movements to masquerade as science. Global warming is a euphemism generally meaning human caused climate change. We have been coming out of a perid of glaciation and the earth has been generally warming for 6000 years. The CO2 concentration has been generally increasing since then. We had a temporary cooling trend from 1940 to 1970s and now it is getting warmer again. This has provided an opportunity for political extremists to push their agenda. They exaggerate facts, ignore contrary data, and try to scare people. It is a dispicable movement that will one day be looked upon very badly much like the Eugenics of the 1920 which was all the rage with the same sort of elitists that now embrace global warming.

Global Warming is refered to the activity caused by the change in the geographical temperatures. This change in temperature is due to the industrialization of our societies since 19th century that has amplified the amount of Global Warming agents. These agents are carbon monoxide, sulphur oxide and all those toxic waste coming out of automobiles and industries. Yes, Global Warming is true and is really happening. Example, the glaciers in Antartica and Iceland are melting at significant rate. The temperature in the midwest cities has risen in these years during the summer. Polar species are suffering due to ice melting and thus has affected the weather patters in some places in the world.

Global warming has nothing to do with ozone and the warming causes the increased concentration of CO2. It may be caused by a higher output from the sun, but it is real and probably a
normal part of our climate shift. Experts are also blaming methane more since it has 21 times the greenhouse effect as Co2. Read the articles below.
