ankle protection?

Is there a product that protects your ankles during a softball game? Sometimes the ball will take a nasty hop and smack right into my ankle bone.

Coul you wear shin guards like for soccer? The little kind that are just a plastic piece in front o your ankle that strap to the back. You could wear them under your socks.

The only softball ones I could find were for catchers and I don't think you want those lol...
