i used goo-gone to get rid of some glue on my car, now while i was taking it off it was leaking down the sides. i finished taking off the glue, and then washed it off with water and soap, then rinsed, now the whole side of my car has white pale marks like drips that wont wash off, is my paint job messed up, or do i need some sort of product to get rid of that?

Rubbing, or polishing compound (not wax) to remove the surface layer of damaged paint.

It won't hurt it.......
If you can find it TR-3 is my favorite, but there are many others that are almost as good.

My dad advertises by using magnetic signs on his car and hasn't had any problems. Just keep the area clean and take the magnets off every now and then. It shouldn't hurt the car, but it wouldnt be a bad idea to put something between the magnet and the paint if you're really worried. Better to be safe than pay hundreds of dollars for touch ups.
