sometimes its easier to say whats wrong when u write it. but exactly that is the reason why it shud be a last resort. its easy to dehumanize whomever ur talking to, and fall victim to saying hurtful thengs u dunt mean. i thenk its better to resolve conflicts face to face ♥

Not so. It is indeed a greater challenge to persuade a person through the written rather than spoken word but is all the more desirable to attempt. To succeed you must carefully select your words for maximum impact and effect. through your words alone you must set a mood and present your own feelings on the matter under discussion. That is the beauty of this forum.
Of course thats just my opinion. Don't take my word for it.

yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about too.... and maybe this person is soooo hurt that the only way to express their feelings with out getting too emotional is to write them down... also when you write something down and send it to someone ...that person reading it has to "hear" the whole thing instead of interupting..when someone interupts neither person gets the whole idea of what the other is saying. Writing it down forces the reader to read the whole thing...I think this person is very sad and when they saw something hurtful they had to get it off their chest...Im sure whoever did this is eating their own foot as we speak.

Actually, I have a hard time expressing myself in words sometimes so I have to write my feelings down... It really depends on the person and the situation.

I think sometimes it's better. You get a chance to think before you write.
Sometimes it can be worse when the tones don't come across right though.
It's a tie for me.

sometimes it's the best way to be "heard", especially if you are trying to talk to an interupter. At least this way you get it all out, no thought de-railments. Then they can respond in person, and you can move on from there.

I have no problems getting my tone across when I am displeased with whomever I am writing.

Yes, I do. You cant emphasize what youre saying, by using caps and quotes and exclamation points. The other person should know if youre mad or upset, or not.*

I think discussion is far more productive anyway. Once emotions become stirred, it is far more difficult to reach consensus...

You might be right, however, when I get into an argument with my husband, it is easier to reach him sometimes if I do it in a letter.
