As impressive as the Brewers have looked so far, will they really keep this up? Their pitching does not seem that deep and they are getting some career performances by very unproven players. If these guys keep it up, of course they will win, but I don't think that will happen. When the end of the year comes around, I expect them to be top three in the Central, but expect the Cubs and the Cardinals to be right there. I am not too worried about the Astros as they are a broken down team and I think they were sort of counting on Clemens. I too have written off the Pirates and Reds, and I don't think it is too early to do that. Some teams just don't have the mone to compete.

It's May and they're only 6.5 games ahead. They have struggled the past couple weeks. (once they started playing good teams) They are young, have talent and pitching. So they could win the division, but its too early to tell.
The Cubs need to get the bullpen figured out. they have blown over 10 games already. the starting pitching has been great. who would have thought that zambrano would be the 4th best pitcher in the rotation at the end of may? The offense can and will score a lot of runs. just need to be more consistent.
Astros will hang around all season as well.

I would love to see the Brewers win their division but I doubt it if it will happen. The Astros will probably squeak out the division just because they are more of a veteran team and they will start playing a lot better especially down the stretch.

I think the best chance will come from the Cubs. They only have one glaring weakness at this point, the bullpen, while the other teams in the Central seem to have multiple issues. The Cubs will score runs, the question is will they hold on to the lead in those games they should win. The answer thus far is no, but we'll see.

It is the Brewers to lose. The Astros will make a late run at it as Hunter Pence has added a little excitement in thier lineup. Petite and Clemens are nuts cause they are going to miss the playoffs and the Astros are going to make a run at the division or wild card.............oppppps.......I guess money matters more to them !

Too early to say the Brewers have it locked up. It won't be the Cardinals but the Cubs have a shot.

Its only May 22nd. Teams can get off to good starts then fade during the middle of the season. What if Sheets can't stay healthy as is his track record? What if they lose Capuano for a stretch? Ask this question at the break and maybe we'll have a clearer picture.

It is the Brewer's Division. All they have to do is play a hair above .500 from here to win it.

It's the magic word...pitching
If the Brewers stay healthy I think they can take it.
The season is still too early to write off anybody.
