No way...not till sometime during college. Or maybe even later. Heck, I'm 32, married and have a child and I still don't think I'm really an adult most of the time. :)

My 'definitive moment into adulthood' came at the age of sixteen, just before my sophomore year of high school, when I found out I was going to be a father.
While that relationship didn't work out and I have never met my daughter (whom is now twenty), that was when I ceased to be a child and became an adult. I had already made all the plans to leave school and keep my 'summer job' as full-time employment to support my child and her mother.

I hated high school. Even though most students are 18 when they graduate from high school there is still a lot of growing up to do.
I don't think that when you graduate from high school (less during your senior year) that you feel like a real adult until you have to start paying bills and worrying about health insurance, having enough money for gas, to put food on the table, and whether you can pay rent or pay your mortgage. I guess high school seniors could 'feel' like adults because of their raging hormones.

No. You feel like you're growing up during your last year of high school, but I don't think you can really feel like an adult until you're in college and living on your own and making all of your own decisions.

Not really. I basically goofed off for the whole senior year of school. My defining moment came shortly after graduation. I landed myself a job and moved into my own apartment.

Probably, yes. In the United States, we have lots of freedoms to do things like that.

Thankfully, no. I pity the fool who is stuck in high school.
