I know a lot of people from the mainland who work in the tourism industry head back home during the offseason. I've been to St. John a couple of times in early May, but this time I'm going to be there in mid-August and I wanted to know if things will be operating normally. Will bars, restaurants, stores be open?

What about charter companies for day trips?

Will ferries operate on their normal schedules?

unlike say, Antigua which closes up tight for the summer, St John operates pretty much as normal....not that you can really say anything is normal on St John, the Worlds Largest Open Air Asylum and Petting Zoo.....ferries run same schedule; some day sail trips might not be around.....down for maintenance..but someone will be available; bars,s hops etc pretty much as usual

I don't live there, but have been there several times, including summer. I don't think anything closes for the summer.
