I am a grade 12 student looking to do a study of Euclid's elements.

How should I approach this?
How long would it take?
Do you know of any good study guides that would be good for me to use?

Thanks

Step 1: Get a copy of "Elements"

Step 2: Look for scholarly works (like on Google Scholar) that analyze this work and give insights on its meanings and uses.

I don't know of any Euclid study guides. I don't think he makes the popular list. Ask your math teachers for references. As for how long it would take, that depends on how in depth you are going to go and how quick you work.

The best way is to do what Euclid did. Take his principles (postulates and common notions) and use them to prove his theorems yourself. This was a project for us in 10th grade. It was challenging, as this was before you could find answers to this stuff online, however, I learned a lot and it helps your critical thinking a lot.
