I'm an introvert.. my life is one big, long meditation in the way you have described it. The list of the questions I have asked myself feels infinitely long, and in one form or another I have questioned everything I could think of. I have also quieted my mind and thought of nothing.. it's good to give your brain a break.

No, just breath in and out slowly and deeply, and keep your body free of tension. You don't ask yourself anything. If anything at all, keep the thought of God, or universal energy, in your mind. But mostly let go. You experience a kind of energy, and you may not feel anymore where your feet are, or what your body position is. A sensation of warmth and lack of weight invades you. After doing this, you feel as if you had slept for hours. Your problems take a different dimension (much , much smaller) and you are relieved.
