You can contact your local legal aid assoc. for free help if you qualify. You can do it yourself with minimal help. You can hire a Paralegal whom is just as good as any attorney and will save loads of money These are about your options other than letting your spouse file for divorce and let them pay for everything and you only have to agree or disagree on everything sent to you. You can also always sit down with your spouse if youre still friends with each other and agree this is best for all, write down all the details and file it yourself in the courts. Your choice

Amicable divorces do not need to involve expensive lawyers, but it depends on how much you and your spouse have to split up between the two of you, and how much you can agree on. I went through my divorce without a lawyer, and it only cost me about $250 - the fees paid directly to the county Court - but we didn't own any property or have any children, and we simply agreed on "who got what".

laws are different in every state but In my experiance, its not expensive if you have already worked out the details on who gets what. I did the negtiating myself and only paid $250.00. non contested divorce.

Go down to your local county court house, and file. You will have to do all the foot work, but eventually you will not have to dish out so much to say good riddens.

probably can't. --- Maybe if you agree on everything you could get some online forms, but agreeing is highly unlikely!
