Can you contradict the old saying?

maybe what went up always came down in the good ol days - but in this generation - the saying should be rejigged to read - what goes up - will keep going up and up and up!

I think taxes increase because the cost of living increases and it also takes more money now a days for roads, bridges and ect. to get fixed. Its just like the schools, if we want our children better educated we apparently have to pay for it. It seems there would be limits on certain tax increases but you would have to ask the polititions that one and I would be surprized if you got a honest answer from them.

The tax goes up the pay left in your pocket goes down every time.

I can contradict it, but the government? No way! Get used to it because money once in their hands doesn't find its way home again... I do know that much.
