I think any sight can hurt you if it isn't allowed at work and you get on there anyway. Also, if being on there comes before work, family etc, it is bad. NOT just MySpace but anything on line.

You have to stop and think about it. It isn't Myspace that is causing this issue. Employers are checking up on employees Myspace pages. It sounds a bit far reaching, but it isn't impossible imagine. These pages are public domain. The question is what should you keep on your web page. If someone puts in their blog how much they party and do drugs, this isn't smart. The smart thing is to keep in mind that you don't know who is reading your Myspace pages, so you better keep in mind as to what you reveal about yourself on your page. This includes personal information that a sexual predator might find useful.

what do mean being fired...myspace is only what you make it...all these lil girls getting "taken" in my these perves on myspace, i feel as tho they put themselves in that position. There are alot of girls/women who play around on there acting like someone there not and putting the wrong message on there. I have myspace and i have never had n e one come on to me in such a sexual way. My purpose on there is to keep contact with all my friends from college, and even old old time friends...everyone is entitled to there own opinion, and can put anything they want on myspace as long its not like actual porn, anything racist or just flat out offending to anyone...
