My Daughter has just had her second scan and she had the same worries as you.
I think you will find that the people that do the X rays scans etc
are not Qualified to give an opinion on the results.
If you are worried speak to your Doctor or Midwife they should explain everything to you.
Keep ur chin up and dont worry.
Best of Luck

That's what they normally tell everyone. If there was something wrong that was serious your doctor would call you in before the next appointment. The doctor will normally get the results within 3 days. The ultrasound tech only take the 'pictures', they don't not read them. Chances are they would only be able to recognize severe problems at which point they would have grab another person to come and look. But, they are not allowed to discuss the results with the patients.

Chances are you are just being paranoid!! I got my ultrasound at 18.5 wks (I am 5 months now) and they told me the same things. All of my blood work was normal as was the baby. The only thing was my ultrasound was an anatomy one where they do further details of the area of the babys body such as the brain,heart,etc... But im sure that nothing was wrong as they would have told you right away...and if you still feel unsure schedule an earlier appointment with your doctor or midwife. They expect these types of things when your pregnant. Congratulations on the baby boy!!! I also am having a boy!!!

Yes youre just being paranoid :o) hehe. The tech is not allowed to tell you even if there were anything wrong. They just cant discuss that with you incase they say something that isnt 100% correct. But if there were something wrong..they wouldve scheduled a much sooner appointment. My son was born with club foot but the techs couldnt tell me that during the ultrasound. I had to go to a specialist which cost an arm and a leg for him to tell me. Although sometimes they let things slip because my son came 6 weeks early and during an ultrasound the tech said.."I cant find any fluid" then the other tech that was there elbowed her and she said "oops"...I ended up having him an hour later. Everything is probably fine then and no problems. Congratulations and best of luck to you.

The tech cannot tell you if something is wrong, but they can tell you everything looks good. If something was wrong, the doctor would have seen you that very day. They wont let any pregancies that has problems go unresolved for a month. You should not worry and enjoy your pregnancy. Congrats on having a boy!

If something was seriously wrong, the doctor would have called. Ultrasound techs are not allowed to discuss results--they only measure, they don't interpret. Try to relax. Believe me, I know how nerve racking pregnancy can be!

If something was serious, then they wouldn't make you wait that long. They will definately tell you right away or have you come in sooner than a month from now. I'm sure everything will be ok. I'd be paranoid too if that happened to me. Goodluck

You're fine. The doctor will just discuss with you the baby's size and your comparable due date, etc. If there was something to worry about you would have seen the Dr. ASAP.
