I worked in two pizza places in Chicago and at both the driver keeps the delivery charge, but that is in lieu of any real salary, they typically make little or no hourly pay.

I dont know who gets the money, but the place I use never used to charge for delivery. Now they charge a dollar. I pay for the pizza and tip for the delivery. Now I take a dollar off the tip. If the delivery guy does not get the delivery charge then he should.

when the pizza place charges a delivery fee I would think the shop owner whould get the money.

The owner of the pizza shop, who if he/she was a good person, would be turning it over to the driver for gas money.

where i work the driver gets it. It's to help with gas because most of the time at my place, they only get a few tips a night, and aren't paid a high wage.

the driver doesn't see a dime. Which sucks, because many people think that its their tip. but its not. So tip away!

Give the kid a break, and help pay for his gas. Afterall you
didn't spend yours to go get it, and he misses the football
game.
