It scares the heck out of me to think that the Congress is working on an immigration reform act. The people of the USA do not have a say as to the outcome of this legislation. Why?
I think that all immigration reform bills should be voted on by the people of this country not by the politicians.

THe democrats could get an additional 12 to 30 million voters if they allow these illegals amnesty.

What do you have to say about it US citizen?

Why not a national referendum on this topic?

No but we do not really have any other choice. We elected those people and gave them the right to make the laws. I guess we made the wrong choice but it is too late to change it now.

They are the only ones who have the authority, which was given to them by the American people during elections, to legislate reform. We can't have an election on every issue that congress takes up. That's why we elect our representitives to Congress.
