No one is confused in their belief of God, just we all believe different things about it. That's why I for one just believe that there is a God. In what form he exists isn't an issue to me. See no one really knows what actually happened back then because we weren't there so you have faith. I believe that even without a Bible I would believe in God cause I feel it not because I was told it. But I didn't understand a lot of it until I started reading the Book. Now I am not a member of any Church and don't attend on Sundays, I am just a guy with my own belief. As far as was there a God before Jesus death I would say yes. Be open minded, whose to say this planet and universe is the first ever. All I am saying is there's a lot we don't know and interesting to think about. But as far as these gung-ho Christians and organized religion trying to control people I do not agree with it. Also a lot of the Bible in its original for which is Hebrew I believe is written in code words do they would not be killed for being believers. We don't know that code so we "guess" at what it meant. We just don't know for sure. Read Revelations sometime. Its like a Sci. Fi. Movie. A beast in the sea with 7 heads and ten horns and other interesting reading. Anyways that's enough for now. Theres more but not room. E mail me if you wanna talk more about it.

Christians is a broad term used to group many different belief systems around a common theme. Similar to a political party. Not all democrats nor replubicans can be labeled correctly 100% of the time. You could say they are "confused" about their political stances from the party.
Individual denominations have very clear and distinct beliefs about Jesus as noted in church doctrine, catechisms, etc. You should do more research before asking a broad question. Why are all black people confused about the use of the "n" word? Why are all islamic people confused about what being a muslim means? Why do atheists and agnostics get confused by other people?

Why are any group diverse on any issue? The supreme court - all people with law degrees and some level of legal experience (well, let's throw out Thomas for the sake of my example) routinely disagree on fairly simple issues.

Picking on Christians for having different views of the meaning of Christ's death on the cross, the Trinity, and the form of the godhead is like picking on art critics for having different views of a piece of art. Is there any group, anywhere, that respects individuality, yet is entirely unanimous on any given question?

So-called Christians have given you plenty of real concerns to complain about - but this one just doesn't ring true.

Christians is spelled C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N-S... thank you.
Answer: the question itself is inane. A concept by definition is an abstract or general idea inferred or derived from specific instances... so depending on the specific observations (specific instances of N - statistically speaking)... the "concept" will vary. Please use more intelligence when asking questions. I personally am more of a 'utilitarian buddhist' and find the Jesus issue interesting... but I can not stand by in idle observance of the propagation of idiocy.

What makes you think Christians are confused about something (Christianity) and someone (God/Christ/Holy Spirit) they accept on faith? If it is b/c there are so many different theories about the nature of God, well there again, what each different person believes is a matter of faith in the unseen.

Do you like Brittany Spears? I don't. I don't have to accept her on faith, either. I can watch her on TV or I can rent her video or listen to her music to know she is REAL. Look at all the people who also know she is real but have differing opinions about her. Some think she has talent. Some think she doesn't. Some think she is unbalanced. Some think she is shrewed. Some think she is tacky. Some think she is beautiful. Some think she is skanky. Some think she is simiply misunderstood.

Okay, if so many people can have different views of Brittany Spears whom we know to exist in a very real, physical sense, why would you think Christians are confused about the nature of God who is unseen and whom we do not know in a physical presence?

It's all just different opinions and we're each entitled to our own opinion about God the same as we can have our own individual opinions about Brittany Spears. Only Brittany knows the TRUE Brittany, though. Same with God. Only God knows God's mind and heart.

Everything that exists is an element of God's will. God is the universe and everything in it (all matter). The only reason why you exist right now is because God wills it. He is actively sustaining your existance right now in fact (otherwise you would disappear). Jesus in the flesh was the same way except that He was a human manifestation of God. The idea that there was a time without a God is illogical.

I do not understand your question. I am a Catholic and absolutely no ambiquity about Jesus. Are you asking why there are different Christians- Protestant, LDS, Epis., etc.
True Christians know the Bible and have very strong, unwavering belief. Be more specific in your next question.I wish I could have helped more.

Man.. I'm a Deist.. so don't think I'm trying to convert you to Christianity.. but you seem to be the one who is confused about Jesus.. not the Christians. If you are struggling with your beliefs then you should talk to a preacher, read the Bible, Koran, whatever you feel you need to read... and talk it out .... trying to force your confusion onto others won't help you find what you are looking for.

you know what, How do you know the christians are confused about Jesus? The question you must ask yourself is do you believe. Ask for revelation. Ask God to show you Jesus and to help you know Him. And if you're worried about other christians, all you have to do is pray for them. Many people know about Jesus, but you got to believe in Him an accept Him into your heart to become a christian.

All people have a different view of Jesus because they (meaning the church) all have a different perspective on him as a person and a messiah. I'm a catholic myself. We focus more on the fear of god and what he could do to you if you do not obey, than the love of Jesus Christ and how if you follow him, you get to heaven. It all depends on the type of Christian church you go to, or what branch of Christianity you belive you belong to.
