Try losing weight while you research breast reductions.
Some insurance companies are really picky and want you to lose weight or provide documentation.
My insurance company did not need that information and I was approved in four weeks and they paid 100% of it.
Working out may not reduce your breast size. It all depends on how much fatty tissue is in there versus dense breast tissue (I didn't lose anything the breast when I lost weight).
With your reduction, they will take out a LOT of fatty tissue, so when you work out after your breast reduction and you've healed you will not lose much in your breasts anyway.
It will also be easy to work out without all that breast on your chest.

one thing nobody has mentioned is Insurance. Most insurance companies cover a medically necessary breast reduction when a doctor says its in the best interest of the patient. They will send off measurements and photos to the insurance company to prove that its needed. For most people this is the most affordable way to have the surgery. If you lose a drastic amount of weight and your breasts become ALOT smaller (which is rare but it happens) you might not qualify to have it covered by your insurance.
If I were you I would see a Doctor for a consult and get their opinion. My sister-in-law just had a breast reduction and she feels so much better being able to work out, wear just one sports bra, etc.
Bottom line is that you can struggle to workout and get bra strap grooves OR go ahead and get the surgery if you can get approved by your insurance company and have a much easier time working out. Going ahead and having the surgery will eliminate the risk of decreasing your breast size too much during your weight loss and making it financially more difficult to afford the procedure. Good Luck!

I would say go talk to a doctor, because the breast tissue may need to be removed. Losing weight may never help that. My mother had breast reduction surgery and she had fatty tissue in there, that no matter how much exercise she did it would not have helped. She was very glad she went through with the surgery.
So talk to a doctor first and see if you would be able to lose weight off of your breasts and if so try that first, then if you need more reduction, then opt for the surgery.
I wish you luck!

That a tough one. If you lose weight now you will lose fat all over including in breast so it might help with that but you said it hard to exercise with them. I suggest that you do what you think is right for you. If you think the reduction will help you so you can exercise better then go for it. Im 36DD I know it can be hard to exercise. Someday I just cant run because it hurts.
Good Luck

Well, I'm going to buck the flow here. I think you should wait. When you lose weight you're going to lose a lot of the fatty breast tissue anyway, and the stretched skin is going to sag as your cup size goes down. At that point, the breast reduction will act as a reduction and lift. New perkier girls for the new thinner you!

You should lose the weight first and then have the reduction done in order to even out your body. If you have them done before you lose weight, when you do lose the weight, they may be too small or not as small as you wanted them.

Lose weight first because then will go down in size from the weight loss. Then you can see from there.

Lose weight first, then see a plastic surgeon for a consultation. They usually tell you to lose the weight first.
