Only in church and why would a stranger want to hug someone they don't know. I am constantly being hugged by friends and church family, otherwise I want to know who is hugging me.

Free hugs-whose charging for them now? As the old saying goes, :"the best things in life are free" (doubt it)

No. I've heard that the "Free Hugs" movement is getting big, but I dont think I could do it. I mean, you might get lice or chicken pox or god-only-knows what from a stranger. Or they might be dangerous criminals. Rapists, thieves, and stalkers, oh my!

(Can you tell that my mom did a really really good job of teaching me about "stranger danger" when I was a kid?)

Yes I did. :-)

Funny thing is... the Free Hugger looked like a cute girl I would have liked to get to know. It wasn't until I was about five feet away and had already made my intentions known that I realized it was in fact a guy. But so what -- we hugged, commented on the increasingly self-centered attitude overtaking our fair city, and said our good byes.

No, I would not want a free hug from someone I do not know, because I am a shy person, and I would be embarrassed if that happened.

I have, and I did exactly what Queen of Hearts said. She was a sweet little old lady that came up to me and said the spirit had told her that I needed a hug and to tell me everything would be okay.

It depends... If I really needed one (cuz I was down or such) then probably yes or if it's a teddy bear type guy, they give the best hugs! :)
